Outline of Research at the Start

本研究課題では、筋力パワー系競技のメダリストを含むオリンピック選手を対象に網羅的な遺伝子多型解析をおこなうことで、エリートアスリートに関わる新規遺伝子の探索を行う。トップアスリートの遺伝子多型研究が、一般者の筋力維持および向上の策略を計画する上でも有用なデータとなることが明らかになれば学術的意義は大きい。さらに、特殊な対象者であるため、一般者のみを対象とした場合、見落とされてしまうようなレアな遺伝領域などの検出も期待できる。また、本研究課題の結果は、遺伝情報を踏まえた長期的なトレーニング方法の確立といった展開も期待できる。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本年度は、特にレスリング選手を対象にオリンピック出場レベル(シニアの国際大会出場者も含む)41名と一般者306名を対象にゲノムワイド関連解析(GWAS)を行った。GWASは、東芝に委託しJaponica array V2を用いて行った。その結果、有意水準(p<5×10-8)に達した遺伝子多型が31個、サジェスティブライン(p<5×10-5)に達した遺伝子多型は、487個同定された。その後、GWASで同定された遺伝子リストを用いてエンリッチメント解析を行った結果、健康リスクとして血圧や糖尿病などに関連することが示された。P値が低かった多型としてrs7659723やrs7131056が上がっており、これらは高血圧やうつとの関連性が報告されている。また、GWASの解析を行った対象者とは別にレスリング選手100名およびロシア人トルコ人レスリング選手100名を対象として再現性試験の準備も整っている。今後は、健康指標に関連する遺伝子多型が、引退後のアスリートに影響するのかを検証する予定である。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

GWASの解析を行った対象者とは別にレスリング選手1100名およびロシア人トルコ人レスラー100名を対象として再現性試験の準備も整っている。今後は、健康指標に関連する遺伝子多型が、引退後のアスリートに影響するのかを検証する予定である。
