Outline of Research at the Start

Outline of Final Research Achievements

This research project was based on the theme of creating art in a zero-gravity environment, which symbolizes the space age, and applying it to art. First, we challenged the task of creating fluid art in a zero-gravity environment, and successfully conducted an experiment to create fluid art during a parabolic flight. Next, we utilized free fall as a simple method of generating microgravity and created art using a free fall device constructed in a laboratory, and confirmed that a microgravity state was generated. Furthermore, as an application of art created in a state of weightlessness, we took on the challenge of creating fashion using art as a design. The created art fashion was exhibited at a fashion show during New York Fashion Week, and it received a great response.
Through these activities our aim of challenging the art creation under zero-gravity and finding application areas of art created under zero-gravity have been successfully achieved.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
