Outline of Research at the Start |
I seek to examine the impacts of centralized public high school choice program on integration and equity of students. I further aim to measure the contributions of different factors such as the impact of student and school preferences and informational frictions.
|
Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
I worked on to revise and polish the PhD dissertation for submission to a journal. I started to work with Jaewon Lee, a PhD student at Yale University, to facilitate the process. We have made significant progress in estimating beliefs about the likelihood of admission, which was a to-be-done in preparing for the submission of the paper. I have gave presentations on the project, including those at Yonsei University, Seoul National University, Chung-Ang University, the Asian Meeting of the Econometric Society in Tokyo, and the Asian and Australasian Society of Labour Economics Annual Meeting in Tokyo. I have also benefited greatly from interactions with professors at Yale, including my PhD advisors.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
With my coauthor, a big progress was made in estimating the beliefs about chances of admission. We also polished our findings reflecting the feedback from the scholars that we have discussed with.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
I plan to complete the paper reflecting our new results and submit to a journal. I will continue to work on revisions for publication along with my coauthor.
