Outline of Research at the Start |
I seek to examine the impacts of centralized public high school choice program on integration and equity of students. I further aim to measure the contributions of different factors such as the impact of student and school preferences and informational frictions.
|
Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
Along with my co-author, we have finished the estimation of beliefs in the PhD dissertation project. We also have re-estimated the preference and consideration model with updated specifications. We re-performed all counterfactual analyses using the new estimates and rewrote the paper accordingly. We then submitted it to a journal. I have given numerous presentations on the project at numerous conferences and seminars, including those at Society of Labor Economics Annual Conference, Western Economic Association International Annual Conference, Asian Meeting of the Econometric Society, etc. We have gained greatly from the interactions with the researchers from these conferences and seminars.
