Outline of Research at the Start

The ultimate purpose of this study is to provide relevant scientific findings regarding the toxicity of Gd so that we can take a preventive measurement to avoid further problems. Studies have revealed that hospital effluent may be the major source of anthropogenic Gd in aquatic systems. Positive Gd anomalies of variable size have been observed worldwide. Previous reports in small animal indicated that the increasing Gd concentration in the environment may be potentially toxic. Therefore, the risk of Gd deposition may not only be from clinical use.
