Outline of Research at the Start

精管結紮（パイプカット・Vasectomy）による前立腺癌の罹患率の向上は米国をはじめとして多くの疫学調査が報告されている。種々の議論があるもののVasectomyによる前立腺癌の発生のハザード比は1-5程度と報告されている。本研究では前立腺癌発生マウス（TRAMPマウス）を用いて、精管結紮における前立腺癌の発癌のメカニズムが解明できると考えた。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

精管結紮の症例に関して免疫染色を行った。
免疫染色の結果、精管結紮をした症例で悪性度の高い前立腺癌の割合が低いことが分かった。
マウスの精管結紮モデルで精管結紮を問題なく、実施できたことを組織学的に確認した。
TRUMPマウスにおいて、精管結紮を実施した群と実施していない群で精管結紮をしたいない群の方が前立腺癌の発生が抑えられた。
精管結紮をしたマウスの方が悪性度の高い神経内分泌癌の割合が引くことが確認された。
