Outline of Research at the Start

核医学診断で用いられるPETやSPECTは放射性薬剤の体内分布の可視化に留まる。本研究では複数光子を連続放出するカスケード核種に着目し、核外電磁場との相互作用により変化する角度相関を測定することにより生体深部の局所環境情報も同時取得する新イメージング技術の確立を目指す。具体的には高感度位置特定イメージング装置の開発および新しい生体用多光子放出核種の探索・基礎検証を行う。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では、複数光子を連続放出するカスケード核種に対し、核種の集積と角度相関測定による生体深部の局所環境情報を同時取得する新ガンマ線イメージング技術の原理検証を行う。本年度は引き続き、角度相関測定とイメージングを両立させる反跳電子飛跡計測型コンプトンカメラに向けた超微細Si検出器の開発評価を行った。また、111Inを用いた放射性薬剤(Psyche-DOTA[111In])のpHの違いによる角度相関の変化を計測した。
1) 昨年度から評価を行っているSOI (Silicon on insulator) 技術を用いた大面積のSiピクセル検出器 (XRPIX-X) の分光性能の不均一性について調査した。チップの内部にて生成されている回路リセット用のデジタル信号の立ち上がりに遅延が生じていると推定し、この問題に対処した大型素子(XRPIX-11)の開発に繋げることができた。
2) 18 um角ピクセルASIC (Application specific integrated circuit) と 18 um角ピクセルSiセンサを貼り合わせた超微細Si検出器の動作確認、および回路のデバッグを行い、修正回路の設計を行った。動作確認に関しては、フレーム読出しの基本動作は行えることを確認した。今後、ヒットピクセル周辺だけを読み出すイベント読出しの実装・評価を進めていく。
3) 111Inを用いた放射性薬剤(Psyche-DOTA[111In])のpHの違いによる角度相関の変化を測定した。薬剤のpHが酸性側の場合とアルカリ性側の場合では、角度相関に違いが見られた。

2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.

Reason

1) 昨年度、XRPIX-Xの電源pad遠方のピクセルでは、X線スペクトルにオフセットが乗り、電源pad近傍と遠方のピクセルではX線のピーク位置に大きな差が生じることがわかった。今年度はこの原因を調査し、チップの内部にて生成されているデジタル信号の立ち上がりに遅延が生じていると推定した。この結果を元にオフセット問題に対処した大型素子(XRPIX-11)の開発に繋げることができた。XRPIX-Xの基礎性能に関して、国際会議で発表を行った。
2) 18 um角ピクセルASICと 18 um角ピクセルSiセンサを貼り合わせた超微細Si検出器の動作確認、および回路のデバッグを行った。フレーム読出しの基本動作は行えることを確認した。また、デバック結果を元に、処理可能な入力信号の範囲やデジタル回路のバグを修正した回路の設計を行った。
3) 111Inを用いた放射性薬剤(Psyche-DOTA[111In])のpHの違いによる角度相関の変化を計測した。結果、薬剤のpHが酸性側の場合とアルカリ性側の場合では、角度相関に違いが見られることがわかった。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

本年度は、本提案手法に必要なイメージングシステムの開発・構築のため、XRPIX-Xの分光性能の不均一性の原因追及、18 umピクセル角のASICを貼り合わせたハイブリッド型Siピクセルセンサの動作確認と修正回路の設計、111Inを用いた放射性薬剤(Psyche-DOTA[111In])のpHの違いによる角度相関変化の測定を行った。今後は、問題に対処した大型素子(XRPIX-11)の評価、及び、ハイブリッド型Siピクセルセンサのイベント読出しの実装、評価を進め、Siピクセル検出器による反跳電子飛跡計測イメージングの実機での実証を目指す。また、局所環境情報取得に適した生体用カスケード核種に対し、カスケードガンマ線の角度相関の変化を測定し、角度相関変化条件に関する基礎研究を進めていく。
