Outline of Research at the Start

超高齢化社会に突入しているわが国において，アシストデバイスは歩行能力の維持・改善に貢献できる機器である．アシストデバイスを含む福祉用具の使用はこれまでに疾病の有無にかかわらず歩行能力の向上に有効であるとされてきた．しかし，それらが使用者の「自身で身体を動かしている」という主体性にどのような影響を及ぼすのかは不明確である．本研究ではアシストデバイスと身体機能，主体性の関係性を明らかにし，身体だけでなく主体性も改善しうるアシストデバイスの開発を目指している．
