本研究は、社会階層研究などにおいて用いられてきた社会心理変数に対して調査測定法の新たな展開を企図する。すなわち、社会心理学分野で開発された潜在連合テスト(Implicit Association Test:IAT)と呼ばれる手法を社会学的調査研究に適用するための技術開発を行う。
さらに、既存の社会心理変数の測定結果とIATによる測定結果を比較することで、計量的階層研究における社会心理変数を用いたモデルの新規開発を目指す。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The Implicit Association Test (IAT) has been validated as an effective method for measuring implicit attitudes, which differ from explicit indicators typically assessed using tools such as the Likert scale. However, its application has been largely limited to experimental settings, and its use in the field of sociology has been extremely rare. In contrast, variants such as a paper-pencil IAT and a voice-based IAT have demonstrated greater applicability to group surveys, suggesting higher potential for integration into social research methodologies. This study developed a new survey method based on the voice-based IAT, which is considered relatively well-suited for online surveys. The effectiveness of this method in measuring generalized trust was examined and demonstrated its effectiveness in online surveys.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
社会的信頼感の測定は、社会関係資本論をめぐる実証の基礎を与えており、その指標は、経済発展の計量モデル構築において、予測変数として重要な役割を果たしてきた。一方、世界銀行等による計量研究で用いられてきた顕在指標に対しては測定上の問題が指摘されている。また、社会的信頼感に限らず、顕在指標による測定は、一般に調査回答者による意図的な歪みを排除できず、このことが社会調査に基づく計量研究の基盤を揺るがすものとなっている。本研究は、意図的な歪みを小さくする調査法を、潜在連合テストを基礎として開発したものであり、社会的信頼感をはじめとする社会意識の測定に対する新展開の基礎として、学術的、社会的意義が大きい。
