Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、大別して「TIP法による運動器モデルの構築」、「生体運動器との比較による界面接合解析と科学的理解」、「ナノ薄膜コーティングによる組織界面接合の促進」、「運動器モデルの機能評価」の研究に取り組む。本研究で異種組織の界面接合を学術的に体系化することで、臓器や器官構築の新しい原理や学理の解明だけでなく、生体外構築のための技術開発への貢献が期待される。

Outline of Final Research Achievements

In this research, we aimed to scientifically understand and academically systematize the interfacial junctions between tissues constructed with diverse components, including not only cells but also ECM and inorganic materials, leading to the ex vivo construction of organs and organs. By preparing tendon-muscle composite tissues and observing them in detail, we were able to confirm junctions at the cellular and ECM levels. The same observation in the muscle-fat composite tissue revealed a junctional surface where skeletal muscle cells and ECM components invaded the fat tissue.
Based on these results, this study was carried out as planned, and academic knowledge on the interfacial junction of dissimilar tissues was obtained.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究では、複雑な臓器・器官の生体外構築を実現するため、「複数組織の異種界面接合
」の科学的な理解と学術的な体系化に取り組んだ。臓器や器官は複数組織の集合体であり、異種類の組織が界面で接合し、全体として機能を発現している。これまで、各組織の構築と機能は多数報告されてきたが、これらの組織を異種界面で接合し、複雑で機能する臓器・器官として構築した研究はほとんどなかった。本研究の結果より、細胞種とECMマトリックスの種類、粘弾性が異種界面の接合に重要であることを見出した。この知見を基に組織-組織間の異種界面接合に関する研究を深化することで、新たな学問領域が開拓できると期待される。
