労働市場における労働者と企業、医師研修制度における研修医と病院のような、２つのグループ間のメンバーの結び付き方をマッチングと呼ぶ。マッチング理論は、こうした市場におけるマッチングの望ましさを比較・検討し、理論と実践の双方で発展を遂げてきた。
多くのマッチング市場では、経済主体の相互依存的な意思決定がしばしば観察される。例えば日本における医師研修制度では、都道府県単位で受入医師数に制限があり、同都道府県内のある病院が多くの医師を受け入れようとするとき、他の病院が受け入れる医師の人数が制約されうる。本研究では、経済主体の意思決定が他者の意思決定にも依存するような理論モデルの構築を目指す。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
(1) Wataru Ishida, Taro Kumano, and I defined a solution concept for a matching model with constraints and proved its existence. Our model includes existing studies, which allows us to compare our solution concept with those proposed by existing studies. (2) Wataru Ishida and I clarified the incentive structure in a matching model with contracts. (3) I theoretically analyzed the Chinese college admission system and derived the necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of desirable matchings.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究の3つの成果の学術的意義は, (1)既存研究を含む形でモデル化することで, 市場に現れる「制約」を統一的な視点で捉えることができるようになったこと, (2)労働条件等の現実的な要素を考慮に入れた環境における人々の誘因を明らかにしたこと, (3)既存研究の分析方法を実際に用いられている制度に応用にしたこと, である.
本研究の社会的意義は, 現実的な要素をモデルに取り入れることで, 今度現れうる新しい市場にも応用可能であるという点である.
