| Outline of Research at the Start |
本研究は、台湾におけるまちづくり（社区営造）の長期的変化と台頭する新しい社区営造との相互作用を論じるものである。
方法は農村でのフィールド調査、文献調査、まちづくり関係者や政府機関などへの聞き取り調査を行う。これにより、社区営造の長期的なインパクトや、旧世代の社区営造の経年変化、同一地域内における新たな起業型社区営造の発展について検討を加え、新旧世代の関係性やライフコースを描くとともに、新自由主義下における起業型社区営造や補助金による社区営造の複雑性や可能性についても論じる。
本研究の特徴は、台湾では先行研究が少ない同一地域内の長期的調査であること、新旧両方の社区営造を分析することである。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This project examines the interaction between long-term social transition and diversitication of community development actors, such as local politics, community development association and schools. Normalization of diverse government funding associated community development with these new actors, creating new network in local society in Taiwan. This project also found out that the specific cohort joined the community development in their young age, building their career over two decades.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究の主要な意義は台湾の社区営造を長期的な視点からとらえたことであり、主に二つの側面がある。一つは台湾の社区営造（まちづくり）をライフコース論と結びつけ、特定のコーホートが社区営造を集中的に担っており、彼（女）のライフコースと社区営造自体の発展が結びついていることを明らかにした。もう一つは社区営造が長期化の中で多様なアクターと結びつくことで、政治学（地方政治、社区発展協会）や教育社会学（学校）との関連が生まれる可能性を示したことである。これらのアクターも補助金の申請主体となり、社区営造団体と提携することで、政府の一元的な統治を多様な政府補助金によって回避したり、新たな方法論を可能にした。
