| Outline of Research at the Start |
本研究の目的は、日本の高校に在籍し日本の大学への進学を希望している、日本語を第二言語として学ぶ生徒（Japanese as a Second Language Students：以下、JSL生徒）の認知的発達段階を考慮した「書く」教育実践システムを構築することである。文献調査および、JSL生徒、教師へのインタビュー調査から、現在、日本国内で行われている「書く」教育に対する課題と改善点を明らかにする。これらを踏まえ、日本の大学への進学を希望しているJSL生徒に対して「書く」実践と考察を行い、今後、JSL生徒に対する「書く」教育は何を目指し、どのように行っていくべきなのかを示す。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study is aimed to construct a practical system in Japanese language education at a writing class for JSL students who are enrolled in high schools in Japan and wish to get into a university in Japan. By referring to previous research, also conducting interview to JSL students and teachers, the direction of Japanese language education at a writing class for JSL students was envisioned.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究は、日本語教育における「書く」ことの教育のみならず、第二言語教育、および、世界のライティング教育に対して重要な視点を示しているという点において意義があるといえる。日本における「書く」ことの教育、および世界におけるライティング教育では、言語知識や技能を重視する「言語重視」か、そして、自己の経験や思想を表現する「自己表現重視」か、という二分法的な議論が歴史的に繰り返されてきた。本研究では、そのような二分法的議論に問題提起した上で、今後、JSL生徒に対する教育は何を目指し、どのように実践を行っていくべきかを提示した。
