| Outline of Research at the Start |
本研究では、音声をテーマとする教師教育（養成・研修）の現状と課題を明らかにし、課題解決に向けて提案する。そして、本研究の成果を広く発信し、日本語教師教育のあり方に対する議論や対話の活発化をめざす。2019年の法律の施行を受け、多様な背景と学習目的を持つ日本語学習者数の増大に対し、教育現場が対応できていないという問題が生じている。場当たり的な教育では、日本語を通して学習者が社会に参加していく力が育まれず、結果的に雇用が安定しない。本研究では、こうした日本社会全体の問題の解決に向け、学習者のコミュニケーションに大きく関与する音声をテーマとする、日本語教師教育のあり方を再検討する。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Regarding research topic 1, it was revealed that teacher education focusing on speech is currently concentrating on the practical aspect of pronunciation instruction. As for research topic 2, it was identified as a challenge to promote discussions on speech perceptions and speech education philosophies toward realizing a society that respects diversity, highlighting the lack of reflection among Japanese language teachers on speech education. Concerning research topic 3, proposed solutions to the challenges include: (1) Teachers becoming aware of their own perception of the role of teachers in speech education, (2) Recognizing discrepancies in the perception of the role of teachers and integrating the educational philosophy of classroom practices with the policies of speech education, and (3) Revisiting the challenges in speech education from the perspective of integrated philosophies and policies.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
少子高齢化に伴う日本の労働力確保に向けた、2019年の法律の施行を受け、日本語教育をとりまく環境が大きく変わったが、多様な背景と学習目的を持つ日本語学習者数の増大に対し、日本語教育の現場が対応できていないという問題が生じている。本研究では、こうした日本社会全体の問題の解決に向け、日本語教師の教育のあり方を再検討した。中でも、学習者のコミュニケーションに大きく関与する音声をテーマとする教師教育に着目し、その現状と課題、課題解決に向けた提案をしたことは、日本語学習者の多様化に対応できる教師の育成に大きく寄与するものであり、研究と現場の分断を乗り越え、社会的に広く波及効果をもたらすことが期待される。
