Outline of Research at the Start

新しい高機能フーリエ分光法として注目されているデュアルコム分光技術を高度化する。コム光源の高繰り返し化によって信号の取得レートを向上させ、高速・広帯域・高感度・高分解能を同時に実現する分光技術を目指す。高繰り返し光源ではパルスあたりのエネルギーが低下するため、コムの制御や応用に必要な非線形光学効果の効率が低くなり、大出力光源を必要とする課題があった。本研究では、導波路型やファイバベースのオンチップ・デバイスを利用し、高精度制御技術を生かして実用的な光源の実現をめざす。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

昨年度までに開発した2つの光周波数コムに対して、増幅器の最適化によって高出力化に取り組んだ。その結果、増幅後の平均パワーを、ワットレベルに増強することに成功した。
次に、高非線形ファイバーを用いて、光スペクトルを1μm ~1.8μmの波長範囲に広帯域化を行った。さらに、この近赤外領域の広帯域光をもとに、パルス内差周波数発生過程によって中赤外領域(3μm ~ 5μm)の広帯域光を発生できた。同時に、この近赤外広帯域光を用いて、非線形光学結晶による第二高調波発生過程によって、広帯域な可視領域(550 nm~900 nm)への変換にも成功した。
最後に、2つの周波数コムを用いてデュアルコム分光実験を行った。2つの同一の可視光周波数コムを光源として波長700 nmから800 nmにわたる広帯域で実証した。その結果、十分な信号対雑音比を有する干渉縞の取得に成功した。
以上によって、本光源の広帯域、高いコヒーレンスを実証し、可視域、近赤外域、および、中赤外域にわたる、多彩な波長域のデュアルコム分光光源としての有用性を示し、本研究の目標を達成した。
