グラフの Gallai-Ramsey 数 (GR数) は，簡単に言うと，非常に大きなグラフ (または整数などの構造) の中には特定の偏りの構造が必ず生まれるが，その偏りを研究する分野である．従来の GR数では，いくつかの構造に対し，そのいずれかが偏りとして生じることを保証するために必要な頂点数の研究が行われてきた．これに対して，本研究ではいくつかの構造のすべてを同時に保証することを考察し，その理論を構築することが本研究の目的である．

本研究の目的である，グラフやその他離散構造の Ramsey 数やその発展は，非常に大きなグラフ (または整数などの構造) の中には特定の偏りの構造が必ず生ま
れるが，その偏りを研究する分野である．特に，本年度は，Ramsey 数や，Gallai-Ramsey数に関しての基本的な成果を集め，発展へとつなげることができた．
例えば，「Arithmetic progressions, quasi progressions, and Gallai-Ramsey coloring」という論文では，自然数を k色で彩色した際に，同色か，またはすべ
て異なる色の十分に長い等差数列が存在するための条件に付いて考察を行っている．これは，グラフに置いて多くの研究がなされてきた Gallai-Ramsey数の研究
を，自然数の等差数列へと発展させたもので，確率的手法など様々な方法で，その Gallai-Ramsey数の上界・下界を与えたものである．
さらに，グラフの Rmasey 数や Gallai-Ramsey数をはじめとして，グラフ以外を対象とした論文として，「Gallai-Ramsey Numbers Involving a Rainbow 4-Path」「Complete bipartite graphs without small rainbow stars」「Gallai-Ramsey numbers for fans」「Complete bipartite graphs without small rainbow subgraphs」などの論文を出版し，様々なグラフに対しての Ramsey数や Gallai-Ramsey数の上界・下界を与えることに成功している．また「Gallai-Ramsey numbers involving a rainbow 4-path」という論文では，グラフの Gallai-Ramsey数に関しての研究を行った．
