Outline of Research at the Start |
The project's innovation lies in better larvae adherence and propagation, enhanced growth kinetic, biodegradability, and scalability of the fabricated substrates used in CR. By improving the settling and survivability of coral larvae, the ER will improve the whole restoration process's yield. Transplantation of living coral on bioresorbable substrates (grids) would allow for better attachment and lesser negative environmental impact of the restoration process itself.
