This study aims to examine the levels of heterogeneity in crop selection, yields, and crop sales arising from information sharing among farmers and market actors in SHEP project areas. Specifically, it aims to identify the homogenizing effects of information sharing on the three variables.

| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
本研究の主な目的は、東アフリカの農業と食料安全保障に関して、気候変動がジェンダーに及ぼす影響を調査研究することである。この主目的に付随し、エチオピアのJICA-SHEP事業実施地域における園芸作物生産農家の間で、情報共有が作物選択、収量、および作物販売に与える均質化効果を調査研究することを副目的としている。主研究目的に関し、CIMMYTによってエチオピア、ケニア、タンザニアから収集したデータを使用して、これまで4つの国際ジャーナル論文を発表した。また、副目的に関し、JICAがエチオピアのオロミア地域およびシダマ地域において実施しているSHEP事業の参加者および非参加者から主要データを収集した。そのデータ収集は、フェローシップ期間中、フェローがエチオピアへ3回渡航して現地協力者とともに実施した。一回目の渡航調査は、2022年12月にオロミア地域からデータを収集するためであった。二回目は2023年12月にシダマ地域において予備調査を実施するために渡航し、三回目は、2024年1月に同地域から本調査によるデータを収集するために実施した。当初、目標としたサンプルサイズは1,000名であった。本調査を実施した結果、事業参加者からのサンプルについて484名、非参加者からのサンプルについて516名の計1,000名からデータを収集した(地域的内訳としては、2022年12月から2023年2月にかけてオロミア地域から610名、2024年1月から2月にかけて、シダマ地域から390名)。現在、我々はオロミア地域およびシダマ地域から収集したデータの処理、分析、および報告書の執筆を進めている。
