Outline of Research at the Start

反強磁性ワイルセミメタル薄膜であるMn3Sn薄膜を用いて、そのスピン物性の解明及び応用することを目的とする。具体的には、M面配向とC面配向のノンコリニア反強磁性体Mn3Sn薄膜を作製し、M面配向Mn3Sn薄膜からスピン軌道トルクによるオクタポールのダイナミクスの解明し、C面配向Mn3Sn薄膜の磁気スピンホール効果を用いて新たな機能性の創出に試みる。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

今年度は最終年度となり、本課題で行った研究を論文としてまとめて発表したのが主要活動となる。成果として、学術誌2編、国内学会発表8件(うち招待講演1件)、国外学会発表15件(うち招待講演5件)、受賞2件、その他3件となる。特に材料科学と物理学の分野で世界的に著名な学術誌であるNature Materials誌とNature Physics誌に投稿した論文が発表されており、Nature Materials誌で発表された論文の内容については国外学会にて5回の招待講演を行った。
本成果は本研究課題の初期課題であった、反強磁性ワイルセミメタルMn3Sn薄膜の作製とその薄膜品質の向上と繋がる研究成果であり、高品質のM面及びC面配向のMn3Sn薄膜を用いたヘテロ構造での輸送特性を調べ、以下のような研究成果が得られた。
M面配向Mn3Sn/重金属ヘテロ構造では重金属から生成されたスピンをMn3Sn層に注入することより、Mn3Snの磁気秩序を代表するオクタポールが従来のコリニア磁性体の磁気秩序とは真逆のダイナミクスを有することを明らかにした。
C面配向Mn3Sn/Ptヘテロ構造ではPtの強いスピン軌道相互作用によってMn3Snのカイラルスピン構造が歪み、非線形はホール効果が生じることを明らかにした。
