| Outline of Research at the Start |
本研究の目的は、ボノボの非血縁メス間の高い凝集性に関わる生理・社会学的メカニズムの一端を解明し、その背景にある適応的意義を探ることである。本研究では、コンゴ民主共和国・ルオー学術保護区に生息する野生のボノボ集団を対象に、終日個体追跡による行動観察及び尿試料採取を実施する。得られたデータ・サンプルから、ボノボのメスの社会ネットワーク構造や各種ホルモンの分泌パターンを分析する。

| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
研究の目的は、野生のボノボ集団を対象に非血縁メス間の高い親和・協力関係の生理・生態学的背景を探ることである。学振PD採用期間3年のうち2年目に当たる2024年度は、1年目に引き続きコンゴ民主共和国での野外調査に従事した（2023年から2024年5月まで）。調査期間中は、1つの集団に所属する28頭のボノボ個体を対象に終日個体追跡を実施し、1033時間に及ぶ行動記録を収集した。また、パーティの規模に関連する個体の生理状態を把握するため、個体追跡中には機会的に尿試料を採取し、合計227個のサンプルを得た。今後、データ分析を進めるとともに、採取した尿試料から各種ホルモン（コルチゾール、オキシトシン）レベルを測定する予定である。
