Outline of Research at the Start

空間反転対称性の破れによって、電子の運動の自由度とスピンの自由度が結合するが、そうした系において電子相関が生み出す物理は未だ謎に包まれている。また、近年注目を集めている局所的な空間反転対称性の破れは、多くの結晶構造に存在し、奇パリティ多極子秩序を示すことからも大きなパラダイムシフトを生み出す可能性に満ちている。
本研究では、こうした空間反転対称性が破れた系の量子臨界現象に焦点を当て、非自明な新奇量子相や創発応答の探索、解明を目指す。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本課題においては「空間反転対称性の破れ」をキーワードとして、強相関電子系における新奇量子相及び量子臨界現象の解明と探索を目的としている。局所的な空間反転対称性の破れは副格子自由度をもたらすが、該当する結晶構造は様々な物質に見出される。特に、いくつかの重い電子系超伝導体においては磁場誘起超伝導が観測されるが、いずれの物質においても副格子自由度を有する点で興味深い。前年度までの研究により、局所空間反転対称性の破れたCeRh2As2のトポロジカル不変量の表式や、その強相関効果に関する基本的な理解を得た。これらの成果を踏まえ本年度は,副格子自由度と強相関効果の協奏現象に関するさらなる考察を行った。主として以下の提案を行った。
・奇パリティ多極子揺らぎに媒介される磁場誘起超伝導の新機構
本提案に関して、パリティの異なる多極子揺らぎがもたらす超伝導形成機構に関する表式を導出し、非従来型の副格子間電子対の形成可能性について見出した。次に、そのような多極子揺らぎをもたらす条件を明らかにし、該当する例を構成した。揺らぎ交換近似によって微視的に計算した相図において、磁場誘起超伝導相を見出した。構造因子を解析すると、磁場誘起された副格子間電子対が見られ、奇パリティ多極子揺らぎによる磁場誘起超伝導の新機構を確立した。
本成果に関しては3件の口頭発表を行った。また、本成果については、すでに研究が完成しており、論文として投稿中である。
