| Outline of Research at the Start |
本研究課題は，支持率に限らないあらゆる種類の世論調査の集計結果をもとに世論のムードを析出する，機械学習ベースの分析枠組を確立することを目的とする。具体的には，質問文と選択肢のテキストに埋め込みの技術を適用して似た内容の質問をまとめ，それらの集計結果を統合してムードを推定する。実際の適用として，2013年以降に日本で行われた世論調査の質問文と集計結果を網羅的に収集し，月単位で第2次安倍政権期以降の世論のムードを明らかにする。

| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
2023年度は海外渡航前の準備期間である。本研究課題の目的を達するためには，2013年1月～2023年3月に日本の報道機関10社が行った世論調査の質問文と選択肢のテキストおよび集計結果を集める必要がある。2023年度内には，リサーチアシスタントに依頼して共同通信，読売新聞，朝日新聞，毎日新聞，NHK，JNN，ANNのデータの収集に着手し，読売，毎日，NHKについては収集を終えた。
本研究課題の構想をもとに日本政治学会のポスター報告を申し込み，採択された。

| Strategy for Future Research Activity |
引き続きテキストとデータの収集を進めるとともに，2024年度に1年間ハーバード大学ウェザーヘッド国際問題研究所日米関係プログラムに所属してアメリカに滞在し，収集したテキストとデータを用いて世論のムードの測定する方法を開発し，実際に2013年1月～2023年3月の日本における世論のムードを測定する。
