| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This research project examined armed conflicts and crimes in the contemporary world, with special reference to globalization, identity, and democracy, and explored peace policy more attuned to the reality on the ground. We studied armed conflicts focusing on their interaction with identity politics. As regards crime issues, we took up the policies and discourse on human trafficking in Southeast Asia, and organized crime in Central America. With regard to peace policy, we studied the evolution of peacebuilding concept, constitutional power-sharing, and the punishment of human rights violators in the transitional justice debates. We provided new insights for each of the subjects above.
