Research Abstract |
Enhancing its function and maximizing the accumulation efficiency, we advanced our developed supramolecular drug delivery system (DDS), resulted in the creation of light-activating supramolecular devices. Combining them with state-of-the-art optical technology, we have developed a next-generation theranostic system that can be applied to any sites in the body. Photodynamic therapy using the novel supramolecular DDS-type photosensitizers corresponds to highly selective treatment for tumors, including undetectable micro-lesions without any damage to surrounding normal tissues.
