Research Abstract |
JNK singaling pawatyway is essential for liver development and Hippo signaling pathway regulates liver size. Interestingly, we fond that there is a cross talk between JNK and Hippo signaling pathways. Furthermore, we found that active YAP downstream Hippo signal could form hepatocellular carcinoma and induce cell competition. These results indicate that the Hippo-YAP pathway acts as a stress sensor to eliminate unfit cells in order to safeguard organ size and protect against tumourigenesis.
