Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this reserch, I interpreted Immanuel Kant's Metaphysik der Sitten as a system of categorical imperatives. Differently from general understanding of categorical imperative, I clarified that all the duties of Law and Virtue in Metaphysik der Sitten can be called "categorical imperatives" and they constitute a whole system. And moreover, I clarified that we need not only categorical imperatives but also hypothetical-technical ones in order to realize categorical ends which are imposed by the former. Café philosophique is held in Fukushima since 2011, and I regard it as one of hypothetical-technical imperatives which can realize true democratic society.
