Research Abstract |
(1)I did the research for four times in India and China, and collected the data about the donor figuers represented in religious arts. In India, I visited Mathura Museum, Lucknow State Museum, Sarnath Archeology Museum, the BHU Benares Hindu University Museum, Buddh Gaya Archeology Museum, Patna Museum, Calcutta India Museum, Aurangabad Caves, Pithalkara Caves, Ajanta Caves, New Delhi National Museum, and Chandigarh Museum. In China, I made my research in Hebei Museum, Xi'an Beilin Museum, Xi'an City Museum, and twelve museums of Shangdong Province. (2)I considered the development of the donor figuers in India. And, I compared the Chinese examples with India about placement and portrait characteristics. (3)I made a report about the research.
