Research Abstract |
We have conducted empirical classroom research on English phrasal verbs, based on Cognitive Linguistics theories. First, we asked native speakers of English to judge English sentences. Then, with those approved sentences, we have developed an original teaching material for English phrasal verbs, using audio-visual aids. In order to prove the effectiveness of our lessons, we have divided our students into two groups: a control and an experimental group before conducting empirical classroom lessons. We have analyzed the results statistically and presented them at several international conferences. Currently, we are consulting with several publishers on a teaching material focusing on English phrasal verbs.
