Research Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to: 1) identify the specific needs of English usage in Japanese companies, 2) investigate the influence of previous task experience on self-assessment scores, using the self-ratings provided by company employees about their English abilities to perform job-related tasks, 3) provide a guideline to assist global-minded companies in developing task-based English-language programs, in which employees can efficiently improve their job performance in English.
