Research Abstract |
A lot of citizens obtain an expensive commodity house for the ordinary citizens constructed by a private real estate enterprise in the economically prosperous cities in modern China. The private real estate enterprise also constructs welfare-related houses intended for the low-income person at the same time. The author investigated these enterprises by the interview about the process of their housing developments in Beijing City and Lanzhou City. As a result, the private real estate enterprise has secured a welfare-related house by the request of the local government at a certain rate in its commodity house development project. And, "working unit" assumed that the role of the housing supply was generally finished, is now supplying a residential house that is cheaper than the market price to the constituent member. A welfare role of "working unit" before the introduction of the Reform and Open Policy is now maintained in different form.
