Research Abstract |
In this study, I surveyed previous business ethics researches in USA and Japan and examined to offer a definition of business ethics and compared it with corporate social responsibility (CSR) that is a related field in order to define business ethics as a discipline. Recently, behavioral ethics based on experimental researches has caught attention as a new approach, because it will be able to complement normative ethics which is traditional approach in this field. Business ethics research may be a potential area to develop as an interdisciplinary field. One of the issues is how business ethics research may recognize and justify CSR activities to solve the environmental problems and poverty in the world.
