Research Abstract |
Empirical studies were conducted in Southern Indian States (incl. AP, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka), focusing on "water business" for two pilot villages. The survey was conducted for 400 randomly selectedd households asking "business opportunites of water and social development impacts (employment, income and sanitation". The study has shown empirically and econometrically that BOP water busines could contribute to improved water access in rural India.
