Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The aim of this research study was to investigate relationship between the organizational characteristics of social movement organizations and their social networks in the field of lifestyle movement, which actively promote way of life as their primary means to foster social change. This research approached from both theoretical and empirical studies. In theoretical studies, theoretical frame was structured by integrating the findings of studies of social movements and social networks. In empirical studies, the process and mechanism on the social movement participation and effects of social networks as selective incentives were found out by quantitative and qualitative research for participants to slow food movement in Japan.
