When gas-rich galaxies, containing supermassive black hole at their center, collide and merge, not only stars are formed actively, but also mass accretion onto a central supermassive black hole becomes active. However, such mass-accreting supermassive black holes are very compact in size, so that they can easily be deeply buried in dust and their study becomes very difficult with conventional methods. We have developed our own original method to scrutinize such elusive deeply buried active supermassive black holes, at the almost dust-extinction-free sub millimeter wavelength range. Using ALMA, we have applied this method to actual dusty galaxies, and confirmed that our method works well.
