Research Abstract |
In this study, asymmetric Suzuki-Miyaura cross coupling reaction was discussed in supercritical carbon dioxide with optically-active Pd nanoparticles as a catalyst possessing specific affinity for supercritical carbon dioxide. Examination for various combinations of solubilization agent and co-catalyst resulted in both higher reactivity and higher selectivity comparing to the reaction in organic solvent when ethylene glycol and silver oxide were used as a solubilization agent and a co-catalyst respectively.
