Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Currently, there exist no efficient methods to effectively dispose of ethanol stillage other than methane fermentation. The present work aims at developing super- or sub-critical water gasification process that convert ethanol stillage into low cost fuel gas. The present research enabled us to identify efficient catalysts for the process, to identify the process parameters with emphasis on catalyst life and to optimize the operation conditions of the supercritical water gasification flow reactor. The research results were presented at a few international conferences, published in two international journals and patented domestically.
