Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study is to find a countermeasure of overweight and noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) in Japan. The relation between blood taurine (2-aminoethanesulfonic acid) concentrations and obesity/ NCDs was investigated. This study suggest that excess body fat accumulation causes depletion of the blood taurine concentration by decrease of taurine synthesis in white adipose tissue specific CDO overexpressed transgenic mice and obese human.
