Research Abstract |
In this project, we consider a peer-to-peer resource market as a new economic infrastructure on the Internet, where participating peers trade computing resources (e.g., CPU cycles). First, we develop a game theoretic model of the peer-to-peer resource market to understand the dynamics of resource prices. We then identify through mathematical analysis and simulation various conditions for the peer-to-peer resource market to achieve long-term price stability.
