Research Abstract |
To create new model to investigate mutational network controlling quantitative traits in vivo, we established several mutation accumulation (MA) lines with long term breeding of mutator mice. We observed differences in quantitative traits (weight, body length, tail length) between and within each of MA line. Biochemical analysis revealed MA lines include mice having dysfunctions of liver or kidney or arteriosclerosis. NGS analysis showed abundant de novo mutation in MA lines. Our approach using the MA lines would provide a new way to understand quantitative genetics in mammalian model.
