Research Abstract |
Low-intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) has been used extensively as an adjuvant to fracture healing. We identified many up-regulated genes that were associated with bone morphology in mouse osteoblast cells treated with a single 20-min LIPUS (1.5 MHz, 30 mW/cm2) using global-scale gene expression analyzing technologies. These results obtained here should help to further clarify the molecular basis of the mechanisms of the LIPUS response in osteoblast cells.
