Research Abstract |
Biofeedback Training was developed towards controlling the body, controlling the mind, suppressing unnecessary muscle stress, and raising athletic results by capturing, as electrical signals, mental states that are not visible to athletes, immediately feeding back that data as an image, comparing that image with physical and mental changes, and recognizing the relationship between physical and mental states. The results of competition including athletes involved in Biofeedback training include the following. In Kyudo archery, the Kansai University students were runner-up up in the men's team competition at the 59th All Nippon Students Kyudo Competition in 2011. In Nippon Kempo, they took 4th place in the men’s team competition and won the women’s team competition at the 56th All Japan Intercollege Tournament in 2011. In the women’s individual competition for Nippon Kempo, a female student who underwent Biofeedback training won the individual championship at the All Japan Kempo Tournament, which includes adults.
