| Research Abstract |
This action research aims at development of a practical reflection method over local livelihood changes by the introduction of endogenous development method at the local level. There are four major accomplishments of this research. (1) we succeeded in development of a proto-type of the subjective local life assessment survey in Niigata, Fukui and Hyogo prefectures, which measure changes at the local area. (2) we shared survey results with local people at the local area through a form of workshops by respecting the initiatives of the local people in their own local area development. This allowed the local people to exchange own views and concerns over their local areas. (3) we are able to identify key issues for researchers to engage action research. (4) we published academic journal papers and presented research method and findings in and outside of Japan.
