Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This investigation is a study that specializes in an aspect of the folkcraft goods sale in the Mexican indigenous “Huichol” society. In 1960s the Huichol began making and selling their folkcraft goods. At the present time their yarn painting and beadwork are one of the most popular folkcraft goods in Mexico, and are a source of income for them. However, this investigation revealed that because their folkcraft goods sale is an unstable business, it is not beneficial for the Huichol society. In addition, because their competitors are expected to increase, it will be difficult to the buisiness becomes the most important source of income in the Huichol society.
