Research Abstract |
We have theoretically studied a role of the geometric structure of a ring-shaped antenna complex LH2 for the excitation energy transfer (EET) in photosynthesis. As a result, we have clarified that the randomly arranged ring-unit systems exhibit much higher EET efficiency than that of the randomly arranged single-unit systems. Underlying physics has also been revealed.
