Research Abstract |
To control the vesicular transport reaction by light irradiation in living yeast cells, PHOT1 that induce light-dependent conformational change was fused to the factor that mediates this reaction. Sar1 was selected as a target for controlling ER-to-Golgi vesicular transport, and although PHOT1-Sar1-mCherry fusion protein was expressed in yeast cells, light-dependent regulation has not been observed so far.
