Research Abstract |
In this study we searched a gene associated with high saccharification efficiency of rice straw to generate rice plant suitable for biofuel production. It was shown that saccharification efficiency was different among rice cultivars as well as among organs. Fertilizer condition also affected the efficiency. Rough mapping of a gene associated with high saccharification efficiency was carried out.
