Research Abstract |
There have been reported many natural and synthetic bioactive compounds. However, it is usually not easy to identify their target molecules and/or target pathways. T o overcome this difficulty, we tried to construct a semi-genome wide screen system using yeast as a model system. We show that semi-genome wide system is effective for predicting the target pathway of a bioactive compound, while informatics analysis utilizing gene-gene network is indispensable for constructing a versatile prediction system.
