Research Abstract |
Versican, one of extracellular matrices deposited in keloids lesion, excessively accumulated in collagen sponge seeded with keloids-derived mesenchymal cells (KLcells) at 1month after implanted in the subcutaneous space in nude mouse. Using this model, Il-1b directly injected into collagen-sponge inhibited the excessive deposition of versican. These findings suggest that this model is useful for developing therapeutic modality for refractory disease keloids.
