Research Abstract |
It has been suggested recently that brain pericytes play various important roles in ischemic stroke, but its detail mechnism remains elusive. In our project, we demonstrated that PDGFRβsignaling in brain pericytes in peri-infarct area was enhanced by basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF) and mediated cell growth, survival and production of neurotrophic factors.
