Research Abstract |
We tried to isolate several cell types of the mouse submandibular gland and to identify transcription factor genes expressed by the cell types. FACS analysis demonstrated the classification of salivary gland cells into four types, namely, CD66a(+)CD117(-) cells of acini, CD66a(+)CD117(+) intercalated duct cells, and CD66a(-)CD117(+) and CD66a(-)CD117(-) cells including ductal cells and myoepithelial cells. We have not yet identify transcription factors expressed in these FACS-isolated cells.
