Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study has examined the farm family business issues from international comparative views, such as women enpowerment and agricultural extension services. The surveyed countries are the United Kingdom, Canada, the USA and Japan. Farm family businesses in the future are required to become larger, especially in Japan. When we focus on the situation in Japan, to strengthen each farm business, it is vital to develop farm businesses by "business-like family" or "family-like business" according to enviroment inside and outside. Additionally, if women can play more important role in farm businesses, it must be more effective for farm business development.
